North Carolina Adopts Rule Recognizing ACE Certification for Water-Based Fire Protection Inspectors

Academy Certification Exams (ACE) is pleased to announce that North Carolina has officially adopted the rule recognizing ACE certification as an accepted credential for water-based fire protection system inspectors.

With this adoption, ACE certifications are now recognized in North Carolina in addition to Florida and Georgia for qualifying water-based fire protection inspection personnel.

This update provides contractors, inspectors, and employers with an additional nationally recognized certification pathway designed around real-world inspection, testing, and maintenance practices.

ACE currently offers:

  • Inspector Level I

  • Inspector Level II

  • Inspector Level II Direct

ACE certification exams are:

  • Open-book

  • Based on NFPA 25 requirements

  • Designed for working industry professionals

  • Available through scheduled public and private exam events

Additional features include:
